138 archers shot a 40 target, themed, timeline course in very pleasant weather. Half the course consisted of Hessian faces painted by Paul Summerfield, plus a few printed faces and 17 x 3Ds (medieval Armies needed to hunt to live).
The timeline took us from the Battle of Sluys in 1340 to the Siege of Harfleur in 1415 – ‘Part 2’, 1415 onwards will be shot at our Agincourt 600 Shoot on Sunday 25 October 2015, the actual anniversary. Story boards at the target number (except for 3Ds) gave brief details of the Date & Battle each target represented plus a picture of the target showing the kill was included under the story board.
Paul’s hessians were stunning as you would expect and brought the whole thing to life, aided by the costume that some wore. Feedback on the day was very positive. Thank you all, we are pleased you enjoyed your day. The SWAC Team came up trumps yet again, so many thanks to you all for all your hard work.
